These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of Kinovia. Please read them carefully. By using Kinovia you confirm that you have read, understood and agree to these terms. If you are using Kinovia on behalf of a family group, you represent that you have the authority to bind that group to these terms.
By downloading, installing or using Kinovia, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the application. These terms apply to all users including Super Admins, Admins and Members.
Kinovia is a private family management application that allows approved family groups to build and maintain a shared family tree, store family documents, communicate through branch chats, and access features including health tools, heritage profiles and family finance tracking. Access to a family space requires a valid invite code issued by a Super Admin.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You must provide accurate information when creating your account. You must not share your account with any other person. You must not use another member's account without their explicit consent. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. You must notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised use of your account.
You agree to use Kinovia only for lawful purposes and in a manner that does not infringe the rights of others. You must not upload content that is defamatory, abusive, discriminatory, obscene or otherwise objectionable. You must not use Kinovia to harass, bully or intimidate other family members. You must not attempt to gain unauthorised access to other users' data or to any part of the system. You must not upload malicious files or attempt to compromise the security of the application.
Super Admins and Admins are responsible for the management of their family space. Admins must exercise good judgement when approving or rejecting join requests. Admins must not abuse their elevated access rights. Admins are responsible for ensuring that content uploaded to the family vault is appropriate. The emergency access feature — which allows viewing of documents and location data of inactive members — must only be used in genuine welfare situations and not as a means of surveillance.
You retain ownership of all content you upload to Kinovia including documents, photos, recordings and text. By uploading content, you grant other approved members of your family space the right to view that content within the application. You represent that you have the right to upload any content you add to the application and that doing so does not infringe any third-party rights.
Your use of Kinovia is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. Please read the Privacy Policy carefully to understand how we collect and use your information.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to Kinovia at any time if you violate these Terms of Use. A Super Admin may remove any member from their family space at their discretion. You may stop using Kinovia at any time by deleting your account.
Kinovia is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that the application will be uninterrupted, error-free or free of harmful components. We are not responsible for the accuracy of content uploaded by users.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Kinovia and its developers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages arising from your use of the application. Our total liability to you shall not exceed the amount you paid for the application in the 12 months preceding the claim.
We may update these Terms of Use from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the application. Your continued use of Kinovia after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the new terms.
If you have questions about these Terms, please contact us through the Help & Support section of the application.
